Tantallon House Bed and Breakfast Accommodation

Hoot the Owl

We inherited a permanent resident when we bought Tantallon House: a strikingly beautiful owl, shown in the pictures above. As Hoot is unable to survive in the wild, he lives in an aviary and we supply him with natural food and a bit of company.

A beautiful house in a gorgeous position, great for Hadrian's Wall visits for all the family. We loved it as did the children. - Richard and Carole J, London

He has proved a very popular attraction with all our bed and breakfast guests, and also attracts other owls who visit him at night. He has an impressive wing span and can be viewed very closely. We are happy to let you say hello to him in his aviary in our garden.
