Our Bed and Breakfast and Self Catering Holiday Cottage are very close to Hadrian's Wall

There are so many places to stay on Hadrian's Wall, as it stretches across the counties of both Cumbria and Northumberland. However, we believe that Tantallon House, with its bed and breakfast and also its self catering holiday cottage surely offers one of the best places to stay on Hadrian's Wall.

One of the main reasons is how close our accommodation is to Hadrian's Wall itself. From our bed and breakfast rooms, you can see one of the longest unbroken stretches of the Roman Wall, built so many years ago. Truly and impressive site. Being so close to the Wall, means that our accommodation is ideal for those looking to explore the historic sites, as well as walkers and cyclists.

Tantallon House has the perfect location to explore Cumbria and Northumberland

Tantallon House is one of the best places to stay on Hadrian's Wall as the village that it is in - Gilsland - sites right on the border of both Cumbria and Northumberland, so much so that either side of the village is in a different county! Being in the middle of the country, with our bed and breakfast and holiday cottage on Hadrian's Wall means that we are the best place to stay if you want to explore! We have great access to all of the roman sites and fantastic walks and cycle paths on Hadrian's Wall, as well as offering great access to all of the best attractions that each of the counties offers!
