Roger Clegg's Hadrian's Wall photos and picturesRoger Clegg has taken many photos of Hadrian's Wall and its surrounding area that have been used on official Northumberland and Cumbria tourism brochures and posters. Many of the photos you see on this site were taken by him, either early in the morning or late at night, to capture the amazing light that exists in these fleeting moments. He also kindly took the photos you see of Tantallon House, both of the outside, with our bed and breakfast set in the Irthing Valley as well as the interior photos of our bed and breakfast rooms. Roger has also produced a stunning series called the 'Four Seasons of Northumberland'. You can see more examples of his work at the top of our Birdoswald and Lanercost Priory page. We have several of Roger Clegg's Hadrian's Wall photos to purchase for our bed and breakfast visitors, they are great mementos to take home. Please check out Roger's official website. Joan Thirlaway's photos and images of Hadrian's Wall and NorthumberlandJoan Thirlaway lives in Gilsland Village and has a passion for taking photographs of Northumberland which have been featured on the BBC website. She has been kind enough to let us use some of her Hadrian's Wall photos on our site. Her own website 'After the Rain' has a wonderful collection of images taken in the morning, daytime and evening, to really capture the different moods that are created on the Hadrian's Wall Trail. Joan has photographed all of the main sites near our bed and breakfast accommodation too, such as the Willowford Bridge, Walltown Crags, the Irthing Valley and Thirwall Castle. If you would like to see more of Joan's work you can also check out her online photo album which has an even larger collection of photos and images both on and off Hadrian's Wall. |
